For one of our clients Triple EEE is looking for 3 project engineers with specific roles. Working for this client means working at one of the most enhanced LNG facilities of the world with cutting edge technology and facilities. You will be part of shaping the future of the entity by providing deep technical expertise whilst developing and/or executing projects. Your work will be fundamental for future success of the LNG business within the company, and you will be given the responsibility in your domain to make it happen. The company deploys a project management system that includes all project phases and assurance from assess to operate and even abandonment phase.

We are looking for experienced project engineers with relevant expertise in the requested fields below. Overall people interested must be capable of working in an international environment, be able to drive their projects whilst at the same time ensure knowledge and expertise transfer to local staff. The relevant experience levels are mentioned below but next to that personal and process safety knowledge and a flawless reputation in these fields is a must.

Job description

The senior project engineer plans, controls and executes the marine loading arm replacement project in her/his project in order to meet identified business needs, assure continuity in product delivery whilst the project is executed and flawless startup of the new installed loading arms when project is handed over, thereby delivering business value. The senior project engineer acquires and utilizes the necessary resources and skills to perform the respective activities.
The incumbent will be responsible for budget control, timely delivery and overall quality of the project deliverables. Included in this will be HSSE management, project management, risk management, stakeholder management, concurrent operations management and change implementation planning and management. On a daily basis you will liaise and collaborate with the asset management team (internal customer), and a range of stakeholders including business managers, service providers and suppliers or engineering services and materials. The work will be done from the client’s location.

Main characteristics:

  • To drive a Marine Loading Arms Replacement project that is currently in Front-End stage (Execution input very necessary in Front-End).
  • 10+ years’ experience in Projects role, with marine/jetty jobs Execution experience a must esp. to assess barge/jack-up rig etc. options.

Accountabilities:

  • HSSE accountable person for the execution phase of the project, including set up and management of simops during key construction moments
  • Proactively analyze variances against plan to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and escalate quickly and appropriately.
  • Is and stays current on key project processes, procedures and (technology) developments that could involve a change to, or improvement of projects managed
  • Apply world class project management and IT control/assurance methodologies, standards and processes including scope management, risk management, and transition to execution at FID (final investment decision).
  • Manage a change control process in relation to the project, gain agreement for revisions (but actively minimize them) to the scope from project sponsors, and ensure projects continue to meet business objectives. Evaluating and making recommendations/decisions on technical options as appropriate.
  • Provide effective leadership to assigned project staff ensuring compliance with project standards, processes, as well as assurance and controls.

Applicant criteria

  • 10+ years’ experience in Projects role, with marine/jetty jobs Execution experience a must esp. to assess barge/jack-up rig etc. options.

Must have knowledge and skills:

  • Select and use fit for purpose project management methods to manage the project delivery.
  • Works closely with the other members of the owner’s team to create maximum input of existing operational and asset management experience into the project before execution
  • Assures successful record keeping, (minimum) change management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the end user acceptance, thereby continuously improving the future project cycles.
  • Plan, execute, monitor, control, and close all aspects of the project execution lifecycle as defined by the client’s project and/or Agile Delivery Framework.
  • Mobilize and lead a team with the necessary skills, composed of a mixture of staff and suppliers across organizational boundaries.
  • Create future maintenance contracts for crucial parts of hardware in the project to allow next decades seamless operation and maintenance
  • Create and validate financial forecasts and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
  • Actively identifies and removes impediments to ensure delivery of the project specifically taking care of simultaneous operation of live jetties/loading arms and vessel movements whilst project gets executed
  • Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.
  • Ensure appropriate plans and engagements are developed and executed.
